Carers & Family Support

Second Chance Headway is committed to supporting the whole family unit as, through experience, we are aware that brain injury has an impact on everyone’s lives.

Carers & Family Support

Second Chance Headway currently has no formal, carers support group as we have found these to be unsuccessful in the past. Carers and family are more likely to forge their own friendships and alliances when they meet others through social and fundraising events held in the centre. If successful with future funding bids, we will develop training packages for carers to help empower them to navigate the benefits system, understand brain injury and provide them with the practical tools needed to support the individual with brain injury.

SCHC has always been a special place providing essential support. During the many years we have seen the service grow and improve.

Support Us

Second Chance Headway Wakefield relies on voluntary donations to continue to provide our full range of services to brain injury survivors and their families. As more people now survive accidents and live with brain injury, the need for our work is growing.
